Judges in Lagos State Federal High Courts have been billed to begin a two -week Easter vacation on April 16.

The Federal High Court Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, on Sunday, said that the holiday will end on April 28, and a formal resumption to sitting on April 29.

Tsoho said that the measure is in line with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (C) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019 (as amended).

The CJ added, “During the holiday duration, the Lagos Judicial Divisions would remain open to the public only for cases of extreme urgency.

“It is important to note that during the vacation, only matters relating to enforcement of fundamental rights; arrest or release of vessels and matters that concern dire national interest are to be entertained by vacation judges,” he concluded.
