The Commissioner For Health in Lagos State, Hon. Akin Abayomi has paid a visit to the Anjorin Primary Health Centre in Itire-Ikate LCDA to examine professionalism from health practitioners alongside welfare condition.
The Commissioner’s visit, also aimed at commemorating the World’s Health Day examined patient’s welfare and facilities at the centre in ensuring proper health service delivery to residents in the community.
While disclosing that a proper health condition is prioritized by the Lagos State Government, Abayomi emphasized the pivotal role of primary health centers in the state in ensuring access to quality healthcare services which would ensure good living condition in the metropolis.
The Commissioner commended the dedication of the workers noting that the facility was well-staffed, well-equipped, and well-stocked.
He eulogized the commitment of both the board and local government health authorities in the LCDA stating that such hardwork highlights the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in enhancing healthcare delivery at grassroot level.
Abayomi also hinted positively on the comprehensive services, including solar-powered vaccine storage, laboratory facilities, and the pharmacy at the centre.
He said, “These amenities not only contribute to improving access to healthcare but also ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the community. The integration of essential healthcare components within the facility demonstrates a holistic approach to healthcare provision.
“My visit here is a testament to the government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure and services in Lagos state.
“By acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of facilities like the Anjorin PHC, the government reaffirms its dedication to promoting health and well-being at the grassroots level. Such initiatives are essential in advancing towards the goal of universal health coverage and improving health outcomes for all residents.”
