Lagos Govt To Construct Structural Stability Test On Burnt Building at Balogun Street

The Lagos State Government, through the State Materials Testing Laboratory, has concluded plans to conduct a structural and stability test on buildings affected by the recent fire incident at Balogun Street on Lagos Island.

A release signed by the General Manager, Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory, Engr. Olufunsho Elulade said the officials of the Agency had visited the scene of the fire incident to take samples for testing to ascertain the structural integrity and stability of the burnt structures.

According to him, the tests will include visual, fire ratings analysis and Non-Destructive Test (NDT), adding that on completion, the report will be made available to the appropriate authority for further action.
