Lagos Felicitates Mo Abudu On 20th Media Anniversary

The Lagos State Government, LASG, has expressed commendation to media tycoon, Mo Abudu, as she celebrates 20-year anniversary practice in the media industry.

The state’s Commisioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, lauded the media guru during the anniversary parley held on Tuesday at the Consulate Residence, Ikoyi Lagos.

The Commisioner said that Abudu’s achievements in the two decades of practice is an examplary feat which has contributed immensely to the growth of the media, entertainment and creative industry.

Benson-Awoyinka disclosed that the celebrant has redefined excellence, creativity and innovation across various sectors, from film and television to fashion and beyond.

She added that the entertainment magnate’s contribution to the Nigerian and global creative spaces have been monumental.

The Commisioner said, “The efforts and achievements of today’s celebrant should be an inspiration not only to young and emerging talents but also to an entire generation of African storytellers, visionaries and dreamers

“The achievements by the icon is a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s media, entertainment and creative industry

“Her impact through the various partnership initiatives with the Lagos State Government is indelible and will forever be appreciated.

“On behalf of the Lagos State Government, I want to express our heartfelt congratulations to Mo Abudu for her remarkable accomplishments. We are proud of your dedication and look forward to many more years of excellence.

“This event aligns beautifully with the values we hold dear in Lagos State, including fostering innovation, supporting arts, and providing platforms for diverse voices to shine.

“I encouraging the younger generation to pursue their passion and dreams as quickly as possible,” Mo Abudu reacted.

“I observe that when non-Africans describe Africa from their perspective, they never really did, and that’s why Africans need to tell their own stories themselves.

“I believe the creative industry in Africa will attain the $20 billion mark as generated revenue from investments in the creative sector by the year 2050.”
