Lagos City League suspends matches
The management of Lagos City League has suspended the league matches in compliance with the directive by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and the Lagos State Football Association (LFA) which ordered that all football related activities should be put on hold for now due to coronavirus pandemic, which is threatening the existence of mankind.
Speaking with ECHONEWS the management said: “We decided to follow the guidelines of the highest football governing body in Nigeria which is the NFF, who said all activities related to football should be suspended to curb the spread of coronavirus.
“We too feel the pains it may have caused the football clubs playing in our league but we plead with them so as to let them know that health is wealth and in due time the disease will be defeated by mankind and we will return to what we love doing best.”
