Lagos Attorney commissions newly built LNSC station in Imota

The Lagos State Government, LASG, has opened a newly built Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corp, LNSC, station in Imota to further facilitate the protection of lives and properties in the community.

Speaking while commissioning the project, the state Attorney, Lawal Pedro, SAN, stated that the present administration is commited towards ensuring the protection of residents in the community, hence, taking the security outfit close to the community.

Lawal, who commended the agency on recruiting officers from local communities, expressed kudos for the swift realization of the project as the construction lasted from January to February this year.

The Attorney General, informing that the Imota LNSC Station, consists of offices, a mini cell, store and conveniences, said : “Commencing in January of this year and reaching completion this February, the Imota Station project underscores the Governor’s dedication even in the face of economic challenges gripping our nation.

“The timely execution of this project speaks volumes about the Governor’s resolve to prioritize the security of the people” he said.

Whilst expressing gratitude towards attendees of the occasion, Lawal commended the LNSC for deliberately choosing officers from the local communities they serve, which in turn, embodies a grassroot approach to intelligence gathering and community policing.

General Manager, LNSC, Ifalade Oyekan, reiterated the commitment of the LSNC in combatting criminal activities, thereby, tackling various security challenges in the quest of making Lagos State a habitable and safe place for the inhabitants.

Ifalade also noted that there are two other newly built stations, situated at Ijede and Orile-agege LCDA.

The Agency Manager gave kudos to the Lagos State Government and key stakeholders for their continued support in the realization of the project. He admonished the Officers of the Division to reciprocate by delivering on their mandate as expressed by the Law.
