Three workers at the Lagos State House of Assembly have been arrested over alleged assault on officers of the Department of State Services, DSS.

The security agency claimed that the Assembly workers identified as Ibrahim Abdulkareem, a photographer, and two others – Adetu Samsudeen and Adetola Fatimoh, attached to the Assembly’s Sergeant at Arms, commited the assault on Monday.

A statement by the DSS reveals: “Some of our personnel deployed to the Lagos House of Assembly were attacked on Monday. Our personnel were there because we were invited to provide security there. After extensive analysis of CCTV footage, we were able to clearly identify three of the suspects.

“The workers were tracked and arrested. They would soon be charged to court.”

On Sunday, Human Rights Activist, Femi Falana, SAN, said:“I can confirm that the three assembly workers who were arrested by DSS have been released on bail.”
