Lagos Assembly Unrest: House Directs Staff To work From Home

The Lagos State House of Assembly, LAHA, has issued a directive to it’s staff to begin working from home amid the unrest at the parliamentary House.

LAHA, gave the order in a memo addressed to all staff which was issued by the Acting Clerk of the Assembly, Babatunde Ottun.

The directive which also involves the legislative aides is to commence with immediate effect and indefinitely. The lawmakers noted that the move is to prevent potential violence arising from the ongoing leadership crisis.

The legislators also informed that the measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of the members and preventing a breakdown of law and order.

The memo, titled “Amendment to Remote Work Schedule Arrangement,”will be held pending the resolution of the leadership dispute.
