Members of the Lagos House of Assembly have hosted a legislative team from Zamfara in an attempt to improve the challenges facing lawmakers and fashion out ways in improving the conditions as they carry out there duties.
The forum was held at the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, Alausa, Ikeja on Thursday.
The Zamfara Assembly members who were on a study visit said that it is necessary to compare and contrast the practices in both states in order to ensure best legislative acts in the country.
The visiting team, led by the Speaker, Hon. Bilyaminu Isma’il, noted that the meeting was aimed at dialoguing with the Lagos counterparts in making up ways in promoting stronger legislative practices in the Zamfara State as well as fostering valuable inter-state collaboration.
In order to get along with the lawmakers in Lagos, the northern state legislative members immersed themselves in interactive sessions in their quest to glean knowledge and enhance their own legislative framework.
Both teams noted the importance of delivering to the inhabitants of their respective constituencies disclosing the need to ensure democratic values are being rendered and maintained in the society.
The duo team enjoined themselves to collaborate with their respective executive arm as that will increase the chances of effective governing over the citizens
