Lagos Assembly Commends Police Force For Foiling Kidnapping Attack In Ladipo, Mushin

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have complimented the Nigerian Police Force for their efforts in preventing an attack by kidnapers at the Ladipo market, Mushin.

The lawmakers in unison said there was need to present a commendation letter to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, over the successful operation by men of the force that led to the elimination of the kidnappers, nine in number.

The House also said that on a letter of appreciation is to be sent to the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP, Adegoke Fayoade, for the indefatigable efforts to balk the kidnappers from having a fruitful operation.

Obasa said, “The police and men of the force who took part in the operation need to be commended.

“The members of the House have agreed that letters should be sent to Egbetokun and Fayoade for preventing such happening in our market at Ladipo.

“We are also telling them to continue in such trend so as to ensure that lives and properties are protected from the reach of criminals.

“We also want to seek the fast tracking of the implementation of the State Police. We urge all stakeholders to come together and make this happen sooner than later,” Obasa said.

The Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Noheem Adams, stated that tranquility has returned to the market since the kidnap attempt was cut short.

Noheem also lauded the Police for bringing serenity to Ikorodu area of the state, which had issues of kidnapping.
