Lagos Announces Traffic Diversion Amid Pedestrian Bridge Demolition In Ikeja

The Lagos State Government, LASG, has proclaimed that traffic at Ikeja Along bus stop will be diverted due to activities of pedestrian bridge demolition in area.

LASG disclosed that the diversion will be from Ile Zik and Conoil Petrol Station on the Oshodi bound lane.

The demolition will take place on Saturday, 17th and Sunday, 18th August, between the hours of 12-4am on both days, as explained by the state’s Commisioner for Transportation, Oluwasegun Osiyemi.

Osiyemi mentioned that officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, will be on ground at the scene to minimize inconveniences and manage vehicular movements.

The Commisioner added that the lanes at the area will be cordoned off with jersey barriers and protective nets to keep motorists and commuters safe during the demolition period.

The general public is advised to cooperate with the workers and government agencies for a smooth flow of the exercise for the betterment of all and sundry.
