The Lagos State Government, LASG, is set to partner with the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria, ACEN, to enhance engineering and materials testing.
LASG noted that the partnership will play roles in the progress of Infrastructure in the metropolis.
The state through it’s Materials Testing Laboratory Agency said that the groundwork of knowledge acquisition will expand knowledge and skills in tune with existing best practices.
Funmi Kadiri, Managing Director, ACEN, during a discuss with the state’s agency members hinted that the integrity of designed structures relies significantly on quality materials a d tests, hence, calling on the government to ensure a proper sensitization on ensuring the initiative is planned appropriately.
Kadiri said ”This proposed training is an invaluable opportunity to enhance the ingenuity of our personnel in their chosen profession to stay abreast of the latest advancement in Materials Testing and Engineering practices.
“The facilitators of Association ACEN have so much demonstrated their professional excellence to exude their wealth of expertise in posing tremendous resources at ensuring the realization of this vision.
“The training will definitely foster optimal check of materials for construction, in order to ascertain their authenticity in averting disaster.”
