The initiatives align with the transformation agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Mr. Balogun emphasized that the first cardinal pillar of development, traffic management and transportation, is being addressed through these efforts. Additionally, the event also contributes to the fifth pillar of the cardinal development, entertainment.
The event organized by LAGFERRY was not only about transportation but also about entertainment, sports, and tourism. The Managing Director of LAGFERRY, highlighted this during his speech. He mentioned that the event aimed to support the Super Eagles and bring the trophy home.

Safety was a top priority, with the Navy, marine police, and Lagos State Waterways Authority ensuring security and everyone wearing life jackets.
He mentioned that safety measures were implemented to ensure a secure experience. He highlighted that in other parts of the world, people pay a lot of money in dollars to watch football matches, but now Lagos is bringing that experience to everyone’s doorstep.
