Kwara United Storms Lagos For Federation Cup Final Showdown

Kwara United have landed in Lagos ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 President Federation Cup final. The Harmony Boys are slated to face Abakaliki FC on Saturday, June 28, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The  team’s early arrival demonstrates their dedication to peak performance, fulfilling a commitment made by the club’s Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye during a recent Sallah homage that the Afonja Warriors would relocate to Lagos at least a week before the final to ensure comprehensive preparation and absolute focus.

This marks a historic moment for Kwara United, as it will be their first ever appearance in the final of Nigeria’s oldest and most esteemed domestic football competition.

A victory would not only crown Kwara United as national champions but also secure them a coveted spot in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, providing the club with an opportunity to shine on the continental stage.

El Kanemi Warriors won the previous edition of the President Federation Cup in Lagos when they defeated Abia Warriors.
