Koleosho buried, Shammeh shocked

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamusdeen Olaleye, has expressed shock over the death of the former CDC chairman, Alhaji Kadiri Adeniyi Koleosho, who reported died in the earlier hour of Monday.

Alhaji Kolesho, a respected and front line political leader in Isolo, passed away at the age of 82 year.

He died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH) after a protracted illness.

He had since been buried at Atan Cemetery, Yaba according to Islami rite after a special prayer was conducted for the deceased at Nawair-ud Deen Central Mosque, Idi-Oro, Mushin.

Baba Koleosho, a devout Muslim, hailed from Igbehin in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He was survived by four children (three men and a woman) and many grand children.

He retired as a banker and has since devoted his life to community service.

He was CDC chairman of Isolo LCDA between 2008 and 2014 having served two terms.

An acolyte of the first Executive Chairman Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Chief Martins Adegboyega, Baba Koleosho was a front line leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isolo.

In his tribute to the deceased, Olaleye described the Late Alhaji Koleosho as a true leader with a peaceful disposition to life.

“At a time the polity is bereft of a true leader, Baba Koleosho was a true leader in his actions and deeds. He was committed to peace, justice and equity.

“Indeed, he would be surely missed especially his invaluable advice that have helped immeasurably to stabilize our polity. He was an exemplary leader for a new political order in Isolo. I am quite certain he is destined for Al-Janat Fridauz because he was a good man who lived for peace,” Olaleye added.

In similar vein, the CDC Chairman, Segun Olatunde on behalf of the Isolo CDC family also paid a glowing tribute to the deceased.

He described him as a true community man who was passionate about community development.

“Baba is first among equals. The story of Isolo CDC cannot be complete without a mention of his role in the creation and development of CDAs in Isolo.

“He was a community man who was passionate about development of the community. We would all miss him very much and we pray God provide his immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss,” he prayed.

Among dignitaries who attended Koleosho’s burial at Atan Cemetery are the Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye and members of his executive committee; former House of Reps member, Hon. Hakeem Muniru; former House of Assembly member, Hon. Niyi Fabikun; Alhaji Gbobaniyi, Alhaji Rasak Adebayo (Ede), Alhaji S. Lawal, Baba Makinde, CDC chairman, Segun Olatunde; members of Turaki Support Group and Shammeh Babes.
