Kogi State Backs Tosin Ojo’s Return To Lead Confluence Queens

Confluence Queens have reinstated Mrs. Tosin Ojo as Team Manager in preparation for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season, aiming to bolster its administrative framework.

The announcement was made at the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Monday Anyebe, in Lokoja. During the event, Anyebe welcomed Ojo back, urging her and the club’s management and technical team to unite and strive for excellence to bring pride to Kogi State in the upcoming season. He emphasized the state government’s dedication, under Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo, to supporting player and staff welfare while fostering the ambitions of young female athletes through sports.

Abdulmalik Isah Dolly, Chairman of Confluence Queens, also attended the event and expressed confidence that Ojo’s return would enhance the team’s operations and performance in the new season.

In her remarks, Mrs. Tosin Ojo thanked Commissioner Anyebe and Chairman Dolly for their trust and the opportunity to lead the Kogi women’s team again. She pledged her full commitment, hard work, and loyalty, vowing not to let them down.

With strong backing from the state government and club management, Confluence Queens are poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming NWFL season.
