Focus : Hon. Oladipo Ajomale ( Member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituecy 02)
Hon. Oladipo Ajomale is a lawmaker at the existing 10th Legislative Assembly spanning back to year 2023. He was born in Tokyo, Japan to the family of Mr and Mrs Henry Ajomale.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
The lawmaker is an alumnus of Command Children School, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos, where he had his First School Leaving Certificate education. He journeyed to St. Gregory’s College, Ikoyi, Lagos in the year 1987 for his Junior Secondary School Education. He obtained his Junior Secondary School Certificate in the school in the year 1992 and proceeded for his Secondary School Education as a student of the Lagos State Model College, Kankon, Badagry from 1999 – 2001 and was certified with a West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE.
He proceeded for a tertiary institution education when he accepted a provisional admission given to him by the Lagos State University, LASU, in 2003 to study Law. In the year 2009, the legislator obtained a LLB Degree. Between years 2009 and 2010, Hon. Ladi bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Law having studied in the Nigerian Law School.
In December 2010, the House of Assembly member proceeded for a National Youth Service Corp program with Compass Newspaper Limited, Lagos, and became certified in October 2011.
WORK CAREER
Before venturing into politics, Hon. Ajomale worked as a Secretary of the Young Achievers Campaign Organization of Nigeria (YACOON) from February 2010 – January 2011, and also became an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ITAN), also doubling as Member, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA).
Sequel to his stint with the NBA, he became a contract staff with the Lagos State Government Ministry of Justice, Legal Practice and Criminal Litigation Department in October 2011.
Following the expiration of his contract with the Lagos State Government, the lawmaker had a brief spell with Proteus Law Firm, Lagos from August to September 2012.
POLITICAL CAREER
After his time with Proteus Law Firm in September 2012, Hon. Ajomale was swiftly appointed as the Special Assistant to the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Adefulire, in October 2012. He served the Deputy Governor until May 2015.
In November, 2015, he became an appointee as a Commisioner representing Ikeja Division in the Local Government Service Commision of the State under the tenure of former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Hon. Ajomale is married with children. He loves reading, sporting activities and traveling.
