The chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede (Kendoo) has promised to rehabilitate the mosque in the secretariat to make it more conducive for prayer.
He made the promise during a Ramadan Lecture organised by the Unified Local Government Muslim Staff Association, Oshodi-Isolo LG branch.
The chairman, who was represented bh the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Smart Akinleye, reinstated his commitment to the welfare of the general members of staff of the Local Government.
“We will not relent in our support for the mosque and Muslims in general.”
A Professor in Insurance and Actuarial Science Department of the University of Lagos, Prof. Tajudeen Yusuf who spoke on the topic “Fear of Allah”, urged all Muslims to abide by the limits set by Allah.
He charged them to be cautious of Allah in whatever they do, saying only the fear of Allah can bring everlasting succor to mankind.
He stated that leaders and followers must rule and follow in accordance to the dictates of Allah.
Hence, he charged leaders to have piety as a prerequisite for leadership.
