As part of its corporate responsibility service, Justrite Pharmacy has organised a free medical checkup for the residents of its host community in Ejigbo LCDA.

The exercise was held at Jesus the Savior Catholic Church, Bokunor, Ejigbo.

Pharmacist Nnedi Anwulika said the exercise was a giveback to the community.

She explained that patients’ blood pressure, sugar level and BMI were examined while consultation was also done.

According to her, Justrite Pharmacy consistently targets crowded areas in order to reach out to a greater percentage of residents at every exercise.

Anulika claimed that through the free test, various ailments were discovered while the patients were advised and guided on proper treatment.

She advised residents to avoid self-prescription of drugs and avoid patronising unlicensed drug sellers, telling them to visit nearest pharmacy whenever they notice any health challenge in them.

One of the beneficiaries of the free medical checkup, Mrs Rita Ijioma, who spoke to ECHONEWS, appreciated the gesture.

She charged government to also organise such free medical outreach from time to time to help the less privileged.
