The Lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency II in the tenth (10th) Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Olaide Joseph, has urged constituent members to remain focus and be committed to their daily activities in the interest of their families and for societal development.

The lawmaker made this known during a media briefing with press men in Lagos where he also distributed gift items to widows and vulnerable elders in Alimosho Constituency II.

The Lawmaker said “I appreciate God for the Grace to be alive to witness another Christmas celebration and explained that his intention is to take advantage of the yuletide to put smiles on the faces of widows and psychologically integrated them into the Christmas celebration”.

Nothing, he said, can make sense to someone who is hungry. Reducing the poverty index is the main governance challenge. “Nothing gives me more joy than giving to the vulnerable and making life more meaningful to the less privileged members of the the society” , he stated.

He states that this is not the first year that he has made the lives of widows and the elderly in the community brighter by presenting food supplies to them annually. These individuals lack the wherewithal to celebrate the holiday season with their families.

The lawmaker reiterated that the exercise, which began years ago, was in response to giving back to the society a little from what God had bestowed on him, adding that nothing was too much to give to humanity in appreciation of God’s mercy and goodness on his entire family.

Echonews gathered that widows and vulnerable elders were not left out of the largesse which has commenced since last week.
