In commemoration of the 42nd birthday of its visionary leader and founder of the organisation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Jandor Foundation, has extended its empowerment programme to the residents of Ejigbo, giving out empowerment materials and funds to more than 80 people.

The members of the Foundation, Ejigbo LCDA chapter, were rewarded for their commitment to the course of the organisation.

The NGO, led by Otunba Olajide Adediran, was said to have been in operations about ten years ago with the headquarters at Ikeja but the Ejigbo branch was opened two years ago.

The Foundation, according to Adediran, is committed to helping the less privilege, widows’ and youths’ empowerment and scholarship for students who are in need of it.

He said the programme organised for the Ejigbo community was to give back to his own community as about 80 people received undisclosed amount to support their businesses.

Speaking about the programme, Jandor Foundation Ambassador, Ejigbo branch, Mrs. Kikelomo Oyedeji, explained that the NGO is a non-political foundation which always looks for the needy in the community to help, adding that the event held in Ejigbo was to appreciate the faithful members of the foundation with the token as well as to support the people with empowerment funds, promising that more of the empowerment scheme was in pipeline for the residents.

She therefore charged the people not to relent in their effort but to continue for the good of the community.

The Community Development Committee (CDC) Ejigbo LCDA, represented by its secretary, Comr. Victor Durodola, encouraged the people to embrace the foundation as it has proved to be impactful in the course of time as many people in need especially the widows have been empowered while scholarship has also be given to many indigent students.
