IYD: We will support you for self-development and national advancement – Olasoju assures youths

In commemoration of this year’s International Youth Day, the Executive Chairman of Isolo, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju has reassured youths in the council area of unwavering support for the actualization of self-development and national advancement.

Olasoju made this known when the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Isolo Chapter visited him, yesterday, to celebrate the international event.

The council boss explained that his administration is on course to give the youths in the council area maximum support to maximise their discovered and latent potentials for their self-benefit and national advancement.

He highlighted that creation of a one-stop vocational hub, empowerment and support programs are parts of the projects he has in store for the youths as he encouraged them to remain notable ambassadors of the council area.

He charged them to be inventive for national growth especially in regards to the theme of this year’s celebration which says: Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health stressing that the youths have a great role to play in every aspect of national development beginning from the grassroots.

He also appealed to them to always keep the council informed of their project for needed support and partnership.

The coordinator of the council, Comrade Saliu Adewole appreciated the council honcho for his words of reassurance and described him as youth-friendly.

He pledged the maximum support and cooperation of the youths council for the success of Olasoju’s administration

Earlier, the youths had also marked the celebration with community service by cleaning up Isolo Market.
