The management of Isolo LCDA has facilitated a free medical session for elderly residents in the area.
The outreach, which centered on persons of age 60 and above, was held at the council secretariat.
The council chairman, Olasoju Adedayo, while welcoming the beneficiaries, said that he was pleased to convene the program. He noted that the event is a testament of government’s interest in ensuring healthy living for the residents.
The council boss also added that the event was facilitated to promote the health care delivery policy of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in line with his administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda for the benefit of all.
Adebayo said: “It gives me immense pleasure to address you my mummies, daddies and grannies here today for this months edition of our health program.
“This program lends more credence to our administrations genuine interest in your health and well-being and by the grace of God we will not relent.”
The council commended the beneficiaries who gathered for the event and urged them to take their health matters seriously. The administrative team also stated that the health department in the council is ever-committed to ensure abundant and illness-free condition for the residents.
The beneficiaries were checked on their hypertensive health, diabetes, eye screening, dental care/restoration, laboratory testing alongside treatment and general consultation.
Other checks also involved Cervical Cancer screening for the women to ensure early detection and prevention of the lethal malignant tumor.
One of the beneficiaries, Omoniyi Balogun, reminisced on how one of the previous editions of the program saved him from facing limb amputation.
Balogun have kudos to the council chairman for prioritizing the welfare of the residents in the area.
“I am a proud beneficiary of the council chairman unparalleled concern for the welfare of the elderly,” Balogun mentioned. He added: “As you can see I mm here to make the most of todays edition of the healthcare for the elderly. May God Almighty keep blessing the chairman.”
Other beneficiary, Omolola Jimoh, disclosed that the medical treatment and drugs given her has taken out excessive spendings at the clinic.
The regent of Isolo, High Chief Saliu Arowo-oye, who led Oba Osolo & Chiefs-in-Council to the event beseeched the beneficiaries to always seek medical attention in order to stay healthy.
