Isolo LCDA Chairman Inspects Road Construction Project At Lekan Ogunyemi Street

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo, has paid an oversight visit to the ongoing road rehabilitation project at Lekan Ogunyemi street in the area.

Olasoju, at the rehabilitation site at Ajao Estate on Monday, stated that the visit was aimed at ensuring quality and timely completion of the project.

The Chairman reacted positively towards the situation at the site, commending the workers, however, he charged them to be more active as the work continues; and also told the Supervisor for Works, Jamiu Omotayo, to ensure proper overseeing of the construction work.

Information gathered revealed that there would be another phase of construction which will link Richfield Avenue and Airport Road to enable an alternative route into Ajao Estate aside the mostly used 7/8 Junction.

“This project is yet another testament to our commitment of ensuring that the good people of Ajao estate feels the impact of our good and progressive governance,” disclosed the Council Chairman

He continued saying, “This road, when completed and complemented will serve as an alternative route inward and outward Ajao Estate aside from the popular 7/8 and Junction bus-stops.

“What we are using here, like other areas where we have interlock, is HFP-manufactured paving stones. We are not only constructing roads, we are doing it to lastingly withstand the day-to-day vehicular activity. I can assure you that this project will soon be completed and upon that my expectation is that the you the residents will take ownership and maintain it properly,” the council boss concluded.

Olasoju urged the residents to cooperate massively with the site workers and ensure proper maintenance of the infrastructure when completed.
