PVC Registration

To make it easier for the residents to register for new Permanent voters card, PVC, the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area unit of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  is planning to take registration machines to Isolo and Ejigbo.

Registration is currently taking place at Oshodi-Isolo LGA and residents in Isolo and Ejigbo Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) have to move to Oshodi to get registered for the voters card.

For the exercise, the Commission is currently working with only three Voters Enrollment Device (IVED) machines for Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Isolo and Ejigbo LCDA.

ECHONEWS gathered that the Commission may allocate one machine each to  Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo  to save people the stress of  to Oshodi-Isolo LGA before they could be registered.

One of the INEC officials in Oshodi, who hinted ECHONEWS pabout the plan, said they are awaiting approval from the INEC authority before moving the machines to Isolo and Ejigbo.

For now, according to our source, no closing date has been announced for the ongoing PVC registration which takes place from 9am to 3pm daily.

Those expected to participate are persons who seek to replace their lost or defaced cards, those correcting the details or who have changed location or those applying to obtain a card for the first time.
