The Leader of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Remy Shittu Remy has confirmed that the councillors would resume plenary session today, Monday, May 4, 2020.
He disclosed this while chatting with ECHONEWS, stating that legislative activities would commence after a month-long recess.
The House has been on compulsory break since Monday, March 30 due to the lockdown order by the federal government as a measure to curtail community spread of coronavirus.

The council leader said following the readjustment of the lockdown by the government, the council’s legislative arm has decided to resume and commence activities.
He noted that the compulsory recess has brought about major setbacks as regards public hearing of Bye Laws, one of which includes the Bye Law prohibiting indiscriminate parking across major roads in the council area.
He said: “No doubt, the lockdown was made in the best interest of Lagosians, even when it happened that it was becoming so costly to many businesses and means of livelihood but, it became more important to save lives and contain the spread of the deadly virus as possible as we can. Following the gradual relaxation of the lockdown, beginning from Monday, legislation will resume in the hallowed chamber with strict adherence to all other important measures put in place to curtail the spread of Covid-19.”
