Isolo Council Election: Akinbaye ward APC councillorship candidate, Amusa commends residents for impressive turnout

The councillorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akinbaye Ward, Isolo LCDA, Idris Babatunde Amusa, has commended the people of his ward for for coming out in large number for the ongoing local council election.

Amusa, who expresses joy over the high turnout of the electorate, said he is optimistic of victory, assuring that the election would favour him.

He said the turnout showed that the people of the ward love him and his party.

According to him, the turnout especially in his polling unit, was a confirmation of his acceptability by the people and the confidence they have in him and his party.

As gathered by ECHONEWS on the spot, as at 10:55am, two booklets of 100 ballot papers – one for councillor and one for chairman had been exhausted by the voters at polling unit 023, Arowoye, Akinbaye Isolo while a number of voters was still in the queue waiting to cast their votes.

“I am grateful for the beautiful turnout though it’s not surprising because such turnout could only be inspired by ones level of acceptability in the community. And I think this confirms people’s support for APC.

“I believe that this high turnout as experienced in my ward in being replicated in all polling units across other wards.

“I am confident of landslide victory in this election,not only for me but for all other APC camdidates in Isolo LCDA”
