The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo has
called for continued support and belief in his administration.
He promised the public an assurance that he would continue to build on the accomplishments of his period in office.
Olasoju provided the reassurance earlier today while appearing on a well-liked program.
Olasoju began by outlining his professional achievements since taking office on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He then underlined that his administration’s top priority is to further develop Isolo LCDA to realize his #IsoloOfOurDreams tagline, stressing that no effort will be spared.
The Council boss lists several achievements, including the building and upkeep of over 29 link roads within the council areas, extensive healthcare policies, the provision of free GCE forms and bursaries to low-income students within the council area, and ensuring adequate security of lives and property.
He claims that these initiatives are intended to make sure that the council district, under his direction, lives up to the promise of bringing governance closer to the people.
“Our activities in the last couple of years have been towards meeting up with our social contract with our constituents. We’ve expended immense efforts on infrastructural development, health, security, youth development, and socio-economic development all towards making life more abundant for our esteemed constituents. We intend to build on our legacies by evenly distributing development to the seven wards in our council area.
“Our success since we assumed office was because of the immense support and belief we’ve enjoyed from our esteemed residents and my appeal to them is to sustain their confidence in us. The support and belief from our esteemed constituents have been wonderful and I can assure them that we won’t rest on our oars until our mantra – #TowardsTheIsoloOfOurDreams is greatly achieved,” Olasoju said.
In reaction to the question about how he has been able to mitigate the financial consequences of the federal government’s discontinuation of subsidies, Olasoju stated that his administration’s efforts resulted in the delivery of financial support to hundreds of disadvantaged families in the council area.
He recalled that in addition to the gesture, food items were given out to more than a thousand residents to help them adjust to life without subsidies.
He utilized the opportunity to praise the state government for its Community Development Committee-managed palliative program for people of the council area.
