Isolo CDC Commends Olasoju On Developmental Strides

The secretariat of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) along Osolo Way was a beehive of activities as the council boss, Olasoju Adebayo, hosted notable dignitaries notable amongst which was a prominent member of Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale as the third edition of Isolo Community Development Committee (CDC) Community Day Award held.
The dignitaries which included the chairmen of Ejigbo LCDA and Ajeromi/Ifelodun LGA Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello Obe and Hon. Fatai Ayoola, former House of Reps Members, Hons. Jaiyeola Ajatta and Muniru Hakeem, Hon. Akeem Ayoola, as well as the pioneer Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Chief Mrs. Modupeola Oseghale among others went home with various awards in the respective categories.
Chairman of the CDC, Hon. Adesegun Olatunde, in his welcome address, gave the individuals’ contribution to communal growth as reason for the recognition accorded them as he highlighted the several endearing strides of the Adebayo Olasoju administration which, according to him, have made life more abundant for the people of Isolo.
In his speech, the council boss, Olasoju Adebayo thumbed-up the CDC and the affiliate CDAs for being selfless via their eyes-on monitoring of projects among other volunteered efforts. He announced a gift of Sienna SUV to the CDC as appreciation for the body’s relentless efforts in helping his administration to impact the people positively.
On her part, the Director of Community Development Dept, Lagos State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Rural Development, Mrs. Adeniji Oluwatoyin, conveyed her ministry’s warm birthday wishes to the council boss and went on to express her delight at the on-going rebranding of the secretariat which, according to her, was a paradigm shift from the muddy and untidy environment that it was when she came for similar event in 2022.
Mrs. Adeniji concluded by commending Olasoju for upholding the ideals of Mr. governor and her ministry through visible projects that dot the council area.
Her words: “It’s fascinating seeing the secretariat undergoing transformational development and I must commend the council chairman for being tireless in driving development in the council area. I also want to appreciate him for being a pillar of supprt for the CDC just as we are seeing today. I congratulate today’s awardees and will like to advise them to remain selfless in their commitment to driving development at the grassroots”.
On her part, wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, who bagged the Pillar of Support
Award appreciated the CDC for the recognition while acknowledging the giant strides of the council chairman in deepening the essence of grassroots governance in Isolo LCDA. Mrs. Hamzat was represented at the grand occasion by Alhaja Aolat Abiola Alade.
Highpoints of the occasion included the investiture of Chief Henry Oladele Ajomale who was represented by Alh. Wahab A. Raji as the Grand Patron of the CDC, Isolo LCDA Chapter and the presentation of N50,000:00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) bursary award to 200 students of tertiary institutions from across the council area.
The federating CDAs took turns in a colourful match past with Gospel Singer, Aduke Gold performing live at the event where guests had more than enough to eat and drink.
