Isẹ́sẹ̀ Day: Oloyede Salutes Royal Fathers, Traditionalists

On the auspicious occasion of this year’s Isẹ́sẹ̀ day, Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has offered his heartfelt greetings to all Royal Fathers and Traditionalists across the globe, particularly those residing within the local government.

 

In a statement released by his media office, the Chairman acknowledged the divine hand that has preserved the lives of the traditionalists and enabled them to celebrate this year’s festival. He honored the gods by expressing his deep gratitude for their continued grace and protection.

He charged them to use the auspicious occasion to pray for peace and progress of Nigeria.

 

 

In the same spirit of unity and harmony, Oloyede urged the traditionalists to dedicate this special day to supplications for peace, progress, and prosperity for the nation of Nigeria.

 

The Chairman also took the opportunity to affirm his dedication to fairness and equality for all individuals, irrespective of their religious beliefs or affiliations, promising to ensure that every member of the community is treated with equal respect and dignity.

 

 

Oloyede commended the residents of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government for their exemplary conduct in demonstrating religious tolerance and coexisting in harmony, despite their diverse religious affiliations.

 

 

 

Recall that there was such commemoration last year, with this year promising to be more entertaining and culturally enlightening. Events lined up include: masquerade display, cultural dance competition, oratory competition, cultural display to mention but a few at the open field of the secretariat on Tuesday.

 

According to the council chairman, “Another Isẹ́sẹ̀ day is here upon us and it gives me great pleasure to felicitate with our Royal fathers and traditionalists, both home and abroad.

 

I implore them to use the avenue to pray for the peace, progress, and economic advancement of our dear country, Nigeria.

 

I also want to commend our people for living together peacefully and harmoniously without ranchor, I plead with them to continue in that line as we promise to be fair to all. Once more, happy Isese day, Isẹ́sẹ̀ a gbe wa o. Ase.”
