Imota LCDA Holds Christmas Carol, Thanksgiving Service

The management of Imota Local Council Development Area, LCDA, has held it’s Christmas Carol and Thanksgiving Service – 2024 edition.

The event put together by the Christian Fellowship faction of the LCDA was held for the glorification of happenings in the outgoing year, as mentioned by a stakeholder of the religious group, Enesi Sarah.

Sarah, at the event held on Monday 23rd at the council secretariat, said that the motive behind the event also bothered on promoting love among officers at the council and also projecting towards a success filled 2025.

At the event which witnessed a turnout of staff, government officials, worshippers as well as friends and well-wishers, she said: It’s a delight to witness another end of the year, thanking God for preserving the management and staff of the council in spite some of the challenges encountered in the outgoing year.

“We applaud the large turnout of people here today for this program to reflect and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.”

Chairman of the council, Wasiu Agoro, commended the executive, management team and all members of staff of the council for a satisfactory performance in their duties during the outgoing year.

Agoro also lauded the community residents for showing support towards activities at the council which according to him has paved way for more successes and developments in the area.

The council boss reassured that his administration is focused on the growth and development of the community, which has been his priority since he assumed office in 2017.

He said: “Our hope is based on our unshaken faith in the grace of God, the solid foundation which we have laid in terms of infrastructure development as well as the policies and programmes which we have put in place to positively impact on the social and economic well-being of our people.

“We shall continue to pray for continued peace in Imota,Lagos State and Nigeria. We shall continue to pray for increased prosperity of our people; we shall not relent in our prayers for Imota to continue in its path of accelerated and unprecedented growth; and we shall look forward to more of your prayers, now, in the New Year and beyond.

“I thank the organizing committee and everyone that has contributed to making this Christmas Carol Service a beautiful event. I thank you all for coming and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very prosperous 2025.”
