The Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Benson Sunday Ayodele, has approved and paid end-of-year salary bonuses to workers of the council, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to staff welfare and motivation.
The bonus payment, made on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, according to the Chairman, was aimed at appreciating the dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions of council employees to the growth and development of Imota LCDA throughout the year.
Benson Sunday Ayodele described the council workforce as dependable partners in progress and critical stakeholders in his administration’s drive to build a prosperous local government.
He noted that the staff have remained reliable allies in the implementation of his vision of “Building the Imota LCDA of Our Dream” and in advancing the BSA-BOJ administration’s Hi-SEE Transformation Agenda.
“The end-of-year bonus will be a yearly tradition under this administration. It reflects our unwavering commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of our workforce, who remain the backbone of effective service delivery in Imota LCDA,” the Chairman said.
Also speaking on the development, the Council Manager, Mr. Ayeni Olumuyiwa, stated that the gesture was designed to reward workers for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.
“The bonus is an acknowledgement of the critical role public servants play in driving the goals and objectives of the local government towards achieving a greater Imota LCDA,” he said.
Mr. Ayeni further explained that the payment cuts across all categories of council staff, including both senior and junior officers, reinforcing the administration’s inclusive approach to staff motivation and productivity.
Many workers described the bonus as timely and thoughtful, noting that it would help them settle outstanding obligations and better prepare for the New Year.
They also expressed appreciation for the payment of their December 2025 salaries, which they said had eased financial pressure and boosted morale across departments and units, particularly at a time when household expenses are traditionally high.
The gesture has been widely commended within the council as another demonstration of the people-oriented and worker-friendly leadership style of the Benson Sunday Ayodele administration.
