I’m building on my predecessor’s legacy – Babatunde

The chairman of Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area, Hon. Johnson Babatunde, has disclosed that he is consolidating on the legacy of his predecessor, the former council chairman, Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo to move the local council forward.
He said this when Adaranijo paid him a courtesy visit on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
While expressing his honour to receive his predecessor, Babatunde said Adaranijo left a good legacy while he was at the helms of affairs in the LCDA, reiterating that his administration has consolidated on the legacy with numerous human, educational, developmental programmes and projects.
The council boss used the opportunity to show his predecessor some of the recently completed projects which include legislative chamber, Adaranijo Taofeek multi purpose event center, the newly rehabilitated council secretariat and Claudiana Ibijoke lublic health centre at Omotoye Estate to mention a few.
The former council boss who is now the commissioner representing Ikeja Division at the Local Government Service Commission said he was excited to see great developmental projects executed by Babatunde,
He prayed that the Almighty God give him strength to finish the remaining projects, and more wisdom in steering the ship of Orile-Agege successfully.
He, therefore, urged other local council chairmen to emulate Babatunde, testifying that he has given dividends of democracy to the people of Orile-Agege LCDA.
