Ikosi -Isheri Council Boss Empowers 55 Youths With ICT Skills

The Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Bada, took a decisive step towards promoting digital literacy and employability among the youth in the community by sponsoring a three-month ICT training program. The graduation ceremony of 55 ICT students marked a significant milestone in the Chairperson’s initiative.

 

Speaking at the event, Princess Bada expressed her elation and pride at the successful completion of the training program. Princess Bada commended the students for their commitment and effort throughout the three-month training program. She reiterated that the training was free of charge, with voluntary lecturers from various sectors.

 

The Chairperson urged the graduates to utilize their newly acquired skills to contribute positively to society, reminding them to avoid using their knowledge for illegal activities. She expressed confidence that the graduates were well-trained and well-behaved individuals, making them desirable candidates for employers in the private sector.

The Council Chairman reiterated the LCDA’s commitment to engaging and empowering youth, recognizing them as leaders of today, not just tomorrow. She highlighted the importance of training and accommodating youth, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a skilled and prosperous Nigeria.

 

 

 

Chisom Blessing, a graduand of the ICT training program, expressed his gratitude and excitement. “We have undergone lectures and here we are, graduating today. I am one of the fortunate ones,” he began.

 

Chisom acknowledged the three-month training program, describing it as “three months of impact, knowledge impact.” He emphasized that the training had significantly broadened his understanding of the computer world, and he had learned a great deal within a short span.

 

The graduand commended Princess Samiat Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, for initiating the program, which he believed would not have been possible without her efforts. He also appreciated the fact that the training was provided free of charge, a rare opportunity for the youth in the community.

Chisom praised the teachers and supervisors for their dedication and commitment to the students’ learning experience. He highlighted the personalized attention each student received, with one student assigned to a computer system, ensuring an uninterrupted learning experience.

 

Jimoh Raheemah, a proud graduand of the ICT training program, publicly expressed her sincere appreciation to Princess Samiat Bada, the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, for providing a fully equipped computer laboratory that enabled several youths, including herself, to benefit from the comprehensive training program.

 

Speaking on behalf of her fellow graduands, Jimoh Raheemah thanked Princess Samiat Bada for her vision and mission, which had empowered them with valuable skills to excel in their future endeavors.
