The chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Bldr Deola Banjo, has laid the foundation for an ultra-modern market at Isiu.
The chairman alongside members of his cabinet and the legislative arm witnessed the block-laying ceremony in the presence of the Eweye of Isiu land, Oba David Kayode Raji.
Banjo, while addressing the gathering, expressed his unreserved joy for the commencement of the project saying it is aimed at boosting the social and economic development of the ancient town.
The Eweye of Isiu land, Oba David Kayode Raji equally performed the block laying exercise while he also blessed the project for its official commencement.
The council boss promised that the market when completed will have stalls for traders, befitting toilets and adequate security.
