By Emmanuel Daniji
Ikorodu North LCDA is setting a new pace in grassroots governance as the Chairman, Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, takes decisive steps to strengthen administrative performance, promote staff welfare, and deepen collaboration between the council’s administrative and legislative arms.
In what observers describe as a renewal drive for efficiency the Office of the Local Government Service Commission, Industrial Relations Department, paid an official inspection visit to the council earlier today to assess facilities, office renovations, and newly acquired equipment aimed at improving service delivery.
The inspection team, led by Mr. Ogunnubi Adeniyi, alongside Assistant Directors Mr. Olatunji Mutairu and Mr. Odufuwa Kayode, was warmly received by key council officials, including the Council Manager, Mrs. Adeyemi Oluranti; Council Treasurer, Mr. Lawal Mufutau; and Head of Human Resources, Mrs. Bamidele.
During the tour, the team expressed satisfaction with the visible transformation within the council secretariat, particularly the renovation of the Mayor’s and Deputy Mayor’s offices and the installation of modern administrative equipment designed to boost productivity.
The delegates commended Mayor Apanisile’s forward-thinking approach to governance, noting that his administration’s attention to staff welfare and infrastructural upgrades reflects a deep understanding of the vital role an efficient workforce plays in delivering quality governance at the local level.
Apanisile thanked the Commission for their visit and acknowledged the importance of regular evaluation in maintaining standards across council operations. He emphasized that his administration remains committed to empowering staff with the right tools, training, and motivation to perform optimally.
“Our focus is on building a responsive, people-driven administration that delivers results. When our workforce operates in a conducive environment with adequate resources, our service to the people naturally improves.”
He reaffirmed that Ikorodu North LCDA under his watch will continue to prioritize innovation, accountability, and community-driven progress a model he hopes will inspire a new era of excellence in local governance across Lagos State.
