The Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, is demonstrating a dedicated commitment to improving the lives of the people.
As part of promises made during the ward round election campaign, the local government has initiated a transformative project by commencing the construction of water boreholes in each of the seven wards within Ikorodu LG.
This endeavor is considered a vital lifeline, addressing various critical aspects of community development and well-being.
According to Adesina, ”The installation of boreholes across the seven wards holds the promise of significantly enhancing sanitation and hygiene standards in the region, a pivotal factor in safeguarding the health and well-being of the local population.
He further explains, “These boreholes represent more than just access to clean water; they also symbolize a crucial element of economic efficiency, particularly for women and children.
“By providing an easier and more accessible source of clean water, this initiative alleviates the burdens of long journeys to distant water sources, allowing women and children to spend their time on more productive activities and education.’
The impact of the water borehole projects extends beyond immediate concerns, aligning with broader goals such as the achievement of sustainable development objectives.
Through the provision of essential infrastructure and services, the Ikorodu Local Government, under Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina’s leadership, is taking significant steps towards fulfilling the sustainable development goals within the community.
