For yet another year, the  Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adeshina, has launched the distribution of free UTME forms to hundreds of indigent students within the council area.

Adeshina made the announcement on the sidelines of the official flag-off ceremony for the Itun-Nla and Ajina road project, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational support for less privileged students.

The council boss emphasized that the initiative is part of his administration’s continuous effort to promote educational excellence among the youth, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic aspirations.

“This exercise has become a yearly tradition of my government, aimed at supporting bright students from indigent families in Ikorodu Local Government.

Education remains a top priority, and we will continue to invest in the future of our young ones,”Adeshina stated.

Highlighting the eligibility criteria, he clarified that the initiative is open to all indigent students, regardless of their social, political, or religious background.

The free UTME form distribution has been widely praised as a significant step towards fostering academic success and providing equal opportunities for students in Ikorodu.

Many beneficiaries and parents have lauded the initiative, describing it as a lifeline for those who may have otherwise struggled to afford the examination fee.
