Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) has fulfilled its promise to the residents of Ajibulu Ayodele in Mafoluku Oshodi by replacing the burnt cables at 7/8 Junction and restoring light.

As reported by ECHONEWS last week, the community had earlier complained that the company was incentive to their plight, which prompted the company to respond to the situation.

While enjoying the return of power supply to the community, the residents commended the power distribution company for its prompt response to their complaint, saying it showed that the company took its customers in high esteem.

Commending the company, the Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Alabede Shamsudeen noted that the swift response has given the community the access to enjoy power supply again without having to wait for months.

He said the restoration of the power back to the community has prevented some loss which would have been recorded by business owners who depend solenly on electricity, adding that there would have also been some damages to the health of some people if the cables were not repaired on time.

He said: “The community is happy that the power supply was restored in good time without much delay as promised by Ikeja Electric, we all appreciate the effort of the company.”

He therefore urged the management of the company to maintain constant and quick response to customers in order to solidify the mutual relationship with its customers.
