IKD Football League: Awoniyi FA Smash Young Boys FC, Solidifies Winning Run

Awoniyi FA defeated Young Boys FC with an emphatic win in the Ikorodu Divisional (IKD) Football League at the Ogijo Community High School pitch.

Imoh Ezekiel marked his second goal in two consecutive matches with a 28th minute free kick which sealed a valuable win for Awoniyi FA to maintain an impressive winning streak.

Coming off a fantastic 5-0 win against Amuludun FC, Awoniyi FA asserted their dominance in the game with their sleek play.

Awoniyi FA got their breakthrough of the game in the 28th minute as Ezekiel marvelous well taken free kick gave them a deserved lead against Young Boys FC.

A goal separated both sides at the end of the first 45 minutes despite eye catchy chances and moments.

Awoniyi FA came blazing in the second half as they dominated proceedings and pegged their opponents to their own half.

Young Boys FC gave a good fight but they couldn’t get an equalizer in the keenly competed encounter.

The inform Awoniyi FA now top group A with 19 points from eight matches and they will face bottom placed team, Awo Boys in their next game on Friday, July 11 at Ogijo Community High School pitch.
