Ifako Ijaiye Council Boss Hands Over Furniture, Teaching Aids To Primary Schools

Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, the Chairman of Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area, recently distributed a new set of furniture to all the Seventeen (17) Public Primary Schools in the council area to emphasize the importance of education in the community.

 

This distribution aligns with his administration’s goal to enhance education standards through the H.E.E.D.S. Agenda.

 

The items provided included students’ furniture, instructional materials, and teaching aids following feedback from his team about the schools’ need for new furniture and teaching tools.

“The furniture and teaching aids should be distributed equitably so that they would be used for the intended purpose,” he said.

The Education Secretary of the Local Government, Mr Adeyemi Olalekan Jongbo, expressed gratitude for the donations made to the education sector in the region.

 

Mrs Adebambo, representing the Head Teachers of the benefiting schools, appreciated the assistance provided by the local government and Prince Hamzat, which included furniture, boreholes, fencing, fumigation, and latrines.

 

The Senior Special Assistant on Education and Library Services,Prince Deji Ogundimu reiterated the Chairman’s dedication to improving education and infrastructure in the area. The Supervisor for Education and Library Services, Alh Lawal Adelani highlighted the accomplishments in school upgrades and the ongoing library renovation.

The event was attended by Party Leaders, Educators, Parents, residents, and Local Government staff.
