ICMC Will Lighten up Nigeria Grassroots Football – Judith Chime

The convener of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup (ICMC), Judith Chime has revealed that the tournament will lighten up the grassroots football in Nigeria.

Speaking to ECHONEWS exclusively, the ex international said the competition have come to say while highlighting the exciting opportunities the second edition awaits women’s football lovers and stakeholders.

The former Super Falcons legendary goalkeeper called on the government, relevant brands and stakeholders to immortalize the late Ifeanyi Chiejine by supporting the tournament.

“There are a lot of exciting opportunities in the second edition of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup because it gives the Premiership clubs the avenue to scout for best legs,” she said.

“We are also planning on scouting the best legs for scholarships combined with their career in the USA through the Judith Chime Foundation.

“We expanded the clubs for this year’s edition to pave way for more clubs that signified interest in the tournament which shows it have now become an household name to attract interest from various parts of Nigeria.”

The second edition of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup (ICMC) have attracted the interest of 13 clubs from different parts of the country.
