The chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LG, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa has constructed a Fire Service Office in the council, warning the residents to be cautious of fire outbreak.
He urged them to avoid all acts that can cause fire outbreak, saying the office is for emergency situation.
He said the construction is only to prepare for unforeseen circumstances as the council does not pray for any mishap that would endanger the lives of their beloved residents.
Olowa appreciated the Lagos State House of Assembly Member representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II, Hon. Raheem Kazeem Adewale, for facilitating the project, saying the council will give maximum support till its completion.
The Deputy Head of the Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Olajide Ogabi on his part briefed that the approval of a Fire station within the Council by the Lagos State Government is to forestall emergencies that might arise due to the existence of mega business activities and the influx of heavy-duty trucks in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery and organisations in the environs.
The emergency helpline 112 was instructed to be called on such occasions.
