Nigerian comedian and skit maker Zic Saloma has opened up about his decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, revealing that years of insecurity about his appearance motivated the procedure.
In a video shared on Instagram, Zic Saloma explained that he had lost several opportunities in the entertainment industry because of how he looked, prompting him to make a change through surgery.
The comedian said the procedure significantly boosted his self-confidence and helped him feel more comfortable in his own skin. He also encouraged those who can afford safe cosmetic procedures to consider them if it will improve their self-esteem.
“I decided to undergo nose surgery because I wasn’t comfortable with my appearance. I had lost several job opportunities in the past because of how I looked. If you can afford cosmetic surgery, do it. If it will make you feel better, go for it,” he stated.
Zic Saloma, who previously had rhinoplasty in Turkey, revealed that the surgery lasted over four hours and included a facelift and eye rejuvenation. He said the entire process cost about $11,000, though he didn’t personally pay for it as it was part of a collaboration with the hospital.
Known for his humorous skits and multi-character performances, Zic Saloma said the transformation has made him more confident and ready to embrace new opportunities in the entertainment industry.
