Actress Juliana Olayode, widely recognized as Toyo Baby from the Jenifa Diary movie series, has shared a frightening experience that almost resulted in her being initiated into witchcraft. She warned the public to be cautious of content that may appear harmless online.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Olayode explained that she was watching something on YouTube when an advertisement appeared, leading her to click on a suspicious link.
“I was watching a cinema on YouTube and all of a sudden this advert popped up.
“They were talking about, ‘Oh, if you have never broken a bone before, if you have never had this and that, click the link…,” Olayode said.
She revealed that shortly after clicking the link, she felt an overwhelming and unsettling spiritual presence.
“Out of curiosity, I clicked on the link and what I saw I was like, oh my God, what am I doing here?
“Then I realised that the enemy is so subtle, and this is how people get initiated to witchcraft and all sorts of things,” she said.
The actress, who is also a faith advocate, said her experience served as a warning about how spiritual manipulation can often present itself as curiosity, entertainment or enlightenment.
“Witchcraft is everywhere.
“And it often disguises itself as curiosity, enlightenment or fun,” Olayode warned.
She urged her followers to be wary of content that probes with questions like “Do you know who you were in your past life?” saying such media prey on the spiritual restlessness in people’s minds.
“There is this unrest in the minds of man. The devil is so strategic,” she said, encouraging her followers to be vigilant and spiritually discerning.
The actress said they should not fall into the prey of these digital gimmicks, as they are all lies.
Olayode also warned against careless consumption of media content, including movies and music, stating that they could serve as subtle channels of spiritual influence.
Captioning her post, she wrote:
“Witchcraft is everywhere these days, they’re not hiding anymore, they’re not waiting for midnight to fly, as most of us think. Witchcr@ft is everywhere around us.
“They operate every hour of the day, it looks very attractive, it looks like you’re on the right path, it looks like you’re trying to satisfy your curiosity, it looks ‘good’ but be careful because not all that looks good is good.”
She continued,”Don’t fall for the lie that you’ve been here before; nobody has.
“Also, just because they tell you something you’re experiencing or have gone through, doesn’t mean it’s through the right spirit. Remember Acts 16:16–18?
“Be careful what you expose yourself to, be careful who you expose yourself to, be careful of the ‘spiritual’ gathering you attend, be careful what church you go to, be very careful and very discerning.”
She added that people don’t always realise when they’ve been initiated, noting that it could happen unconsciously through what they watch, listen to or participate in.
“Like I said, you don’t have to click the link to be initiated.
“A lot of people are already initiated into witchcr@ft and they don’t even know.
“It probably happened through the movie they watched, the music they listened to, a novel they read, or a witch store they followed their friends to in the name of ‘collecting arts or pieces from a witchcraft-themed movie they saw.’
“Now you’re having nightmares, you notice a strange presence in your room, you’re depressed, you feel like something is following you, you hear strange voices or strange movements in your house, you have anxiety, or you live in so much fear.
“Some people will even be deceived into burning incense to remove dark energy, etc. It’s all a trap!!!”
She emphasised the need for spiritual awareness and protection, especially in a digitally connected world.
“Some of these things happen because you unconsciously gave these spirits access to your life.
“You gotta guard your gates, the gates to your soul.
“You gotta be very careful, very prayerful and highly discerning.
“The enemy is not sleeping; he’s working relentlessly and subtly, and so much money is being pumped into this agenda as well.”
Olayode concluded her message by affirming her faith in Jesus Christ.
“Lastly, the only way to God is through Jesus Christ, who is the son of God.
“If you want to experience God, if you want God, go through Jesus Christ,” the actress said.
