The Women Accredited Football Academies (WAFA) 2021/2022 season ended on a good note as Mushin based women club side, Nakamura FA emerged champions.
Nakamura FA won the championship for the first time after just coming into existence barely 3 years ago.
Nakamura FA defeated all their opponents in the Wafa league Super 4 to emerge champions after the four teams that qualified for the Super 4 were drawn from an abridge league format where 2 top teams from two groups qualifed to the Wafa League Super 4 to know the eventual winners of the league.
The Wafa League Super 4 had teams like champions Nakamura FA, Aseyori Queens, SGH Sports Academy Amazons and FC Phoenix Queens.
Qualifying into the Wafa League Super 4, Nakamura FA skip past Aseyori Queens 1-0 in the first game, defeated FC Phoenix Queens 3-1 in the second game and scaled past SGH Sports Academy Amazons 2-0 in the last game.
Nakamura FA accumulated 16 points and closely followed by Aseyori Queens on 6 points, while FC Phoenix Queens and SGH Sports Academy Amazons and one point each.
