Late Hon.Morenike Adesina-Williams

Former chairman, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Area, Hon. Morenike Adesina-Williams died in London, United Kingdom this morning.
She was 65.
Born on October 30, 1958, she was the first female Student Union Government President, College of Education, Ijanikin in 1979.
According to a report on 30 women mentored by President Bola Tinubu written by Dr. Adeyinka Olarinmoye in a special publication for the presidential inauguration, Adesina-Williams
obtained the National Certificate of Education from the school.
She became the first female Vice Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA (2004-2007). In 2008, she contested for the post of Executive Chairman in Igando-Ikotun. Similarly in 2010, she contested for House of Assembly, but she stepped down for party interest. She was a member for Lagos State Campaign Strategy and Planning Committee (2011-2014) Chief Mrs Morenike Abosede Adesina Williams served as First Female Executive Chairman Igando-Ikotun LCDA and was elected as Two-Term Executive Chairman from 2011 to 2017.
