At a meeting of the N’digbo United Group, in Igbo Unit House, Ajao Estate recently, Hon. Jude Idimogu called for a united Oshodi / Isolo Constituency. The Honourable Member of the Lagos House of Representative, pledges his commitment to the development of his constituency and implores the people of the constituency, to forge a united front for the progress of Oshodi / Isolo.
Idimogu, was ushered into the meeting with cheers by his brothers and was asked to address the issue of his defection from PDP to APC Party. In his reaction, he spoke of the restrictions he had with his former party and ideas, that could hinder his performance; as a leader and representative of his people.
Speaking of the relationship between him, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and the potential benefits that awaits his constituency, because of the cordiality. He said Gov. Ambode has shown him love dearly. “He listens to me. My proposals for my constituency is treated fairly” he said.
Adding that four new roads and a Pedestrian Bridge at Toyota Bus stop has been approved for the constituency by the Governor. Idimogu hinted that he is on the task of putting the rights of the Igbo indigenes in the heart of the authorities in Lagos State and implored the Igbo group to support the government of Lagos state in achieving their set goals.
” The governor said in one of his meetings, that Lagos State is for all races. It doesn’t matter if you are a Yoruba man or Igbo man, everyone has equal opportunities. It depends on how we handle these opportunities and I have to say that it must be handled positively” he said.
The attendees, mainly highly notable Igbo dignitaries in Lagos and residents within the constituency, agreed to give their support for the Igbo course and pledged to help the government in achieving its goals.
