Yesterday at the Local Government Secretariat the retirees of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, under the leadership of the esteemed Chairman, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, in a momentous celebration honor the loyal service and commitment to the community.

 

In the presence of distinguished guests, the Chairman recognizes the retirees’ invaluable contributions, acknowledging their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to the well-being and growth of the local government.

 

The harmonious melodies of the Lady Singers of Ifako-Ijaiye infused the event with a spirit of festivity, as they offered beautiful songs and words of praise to God, expressing their appreciation for the retirees’ presence at this joyous celebration.

 

Their heartfelt gratitude to God for the retirees’ achievements added a meaningful and poignant dimension to the event, acknowledging the divine blessings in their lives.

 

The event welcomed the Leader of the House, who attended on behalf of the Chairman. Addressing the retirees, he encouraged them to engage in less demanding activities, prioritize their health, and remain active in their post-retirement years.

 

Mr. Irewole Ogunsakin, an official representing the Services Commission Chairman, was also present at the celebration. He urged the retirees to maintain a healthy balance in their lifestyles, warning them against excessive socializing.

 

On behalf of the Council Manager, Princess Bisi Mariam, Head of Human Resources, offered prayers for the retirees, imploring for them to embrace simplicity and remain committed to their health and well-being in their post-retirement years.

 

The heartfelt wishes and advice from these esteemed representatives of the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government reflect a shared concern for the retirees’ continued happiness and prosperity after their years of dedicated service.

 

The Deputy Leader, the management team and other well wishers were in attendance, adding their support and congratulations to the honored retirees.
