The Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Marriage Registry has undergone a major facelift, offering couples and guests a modern, comfortable, and stylish atmosphere for their special day.
The renovation, spearheaded by the Chairman, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH), reflects the council’s commitment to improving service delivery and enhancing the marriage experience within the local government.
The refreshed facility now features an efficient air conditioning system that provides a cool and pleasant environment, as well as enhanced lighting that creates a warm and elegant ambiance perfect for memorable photographs.
The registry has also introduced a biometric marriage register to strengthen secure record-keeping, alongside customized seating arrangements designed for both comfort and elegance.
In addition, new décor and user-friendly improvements have been incorporated to elevate the overall experience for couples and their guests.
Last week, Prince Hamzat personally inspected the renovated registry in the company of the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Awoniyi-Akerele, the Council Manager, Alh. Akeem Adegbenro Adesanya, and the Chief of Staff, Alh. Abolaji Mustapha.
He noted that the facelift was not just about infrastructure but about creating lasting memories for couples. “This transformation is about more than bricks and mortar — it is about ensuring every ‘I Do’ in Ifako-Ijaiye is an unforgettable experience,” he said.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the administration to deliver a Greater Ifako-Ijaiye.
